2018 Salem Youth Olympics!
Plans are in full motion for our Salem Olympics Lock-In on Friday, February 23-Saturday, February 24, 2018. This will be an evening full of games, food, fun, and fellowship. Each youth participant should be actively seeking friends and family to donate towards our goal. I know we can hit our mark!!
Youth and Family Halloween Social at Covenant UMC was a success! The kids had tons of fun playing games, running through an obstacle course, and enjoying food and fellowship with other youth from the area. We can’t wait to plan the next multi-church event!
July 5, 2017 The weather was awesome (even if the bugs weren’t), and the movie was good. Cars 3 night was a success!
April 4, 2017: The kids had a fun evening at Youth Night! We ate, played games, made a sun catcher, and hunted for eggs. Don’t forget, next month we will meet on Tuesday, May 2 from 5:30-7:00pm with a Mother’s Day theme.
March 3-4, 2017: Our 30 Hour Famine was a great success! A great group of young people came together for a shared vision. We shared, we laughed, we played, we learned, we served, we hungered, and we grew in our relationship with God. It was a rewarding and challenging experience.
March 2, 2017:
I would like to send out a huge “Thank You!” to everyone who came to Culver’s on Tuesday night to help the SUM Youth raise funds for World Vision! The turn out was wonderful! We should make a nice amount to add to our donation. Our famine starts tomorrow.
Pictured below are some of the amazing youth we had working on Culver’s night.

From Julie– As we approach the holidays and the year’s end, I would like to take a moment to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas. I will look forward to getting to know the youth and their families beginning after the New Year.
May the spirit of Christmas that is Peace,
the beauty of Christmas that is Hope,
and the blessing of Christmas that is Joy,
be ours in abundance this Christmas,
and every Christmas to come. Amen
