Rev. Jack Stubbs came to Salem from the United Methodist Church in South Milwaukee where he was pastor for eight years. Previously, he has been pastor at churches in Racine, WI; Norton Shores, MI; Iron Mountain, MI; Flint, MI; Washington, MI; and Franklin, MI. The churches he has served have ranged from small rural settings to suburban and inner city. This is his 34th year in ordained ministry.

Jack is married to Laura Jean Deming. Laura is a cellist with Lyric Opera of Chicago, a position she has enjoyed for over 33 years. Jack was born the youngest of 4 children on a family farm located south of Port Huron, MI, near the Canadian border. He graduated from Olivet College, a church related liberal arts school near Battle Creek, and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. In his free time, Jack enjoys spending time with people, family, reading, and golf (though calls himself a duffer).
